Help: FAQ
What If I lost/forgot my Password and Login Information?
There is a utility
to recover lost login and passwords. You must enter the
email address you used when you signed up, and the login/pasword
information will be emailed to you. (Go to the Password
Recovery Utility page)
I created my AD, but I did not see anywhere to
upload an image?
What you need to do is first create the AD by selecting
"WEBFARMER.COM PHOTO AD". Then once the ad is
created, slect "Modify Ad". Then you will see
a link to upload (near the top) an image.
I am trying to add an image and I get the message
"ALERT! You have added the maximum number of images!"?
This error occurs primarily when you are trying to add an
image to a Basic Ad. Basic Ads are not meant to have images.
What you need to do is to create a new listing and select
"WEBFARMER.COM PHOTO AD".
I have uploaded an Image for my AD, but a broken
image icon appears?
Check the filename of the image before you upload. Dees
the filename contain strange characters such as slashes
(/) backslashes (\) brackets <> % percent signs etc?
These characters act differently when uploaded to the server,
so the file may work okay on your windows workstation, but
when it is uploaded it will not work properly. To fix this
problem, change the filename locally, then re-upload the
image.
I submitted a Ad, however my email address does
not appear on the Ad when I view it. Should I put the email
adress in the text of the Ad?
Your email is hidden. When a user wishes to contact you
they can push the contact the seller button. Then they can
fill out a form and send you an message. By this system
your email remains hidden to spammers etc. However, if you
wish you can put your email address in the text of the Ad,
but you can probably expect that your address will be harvested
by spammers and added to unwanted mailing lists.
I am trying to REGISTER/LOGIN but I am having problems.
One reason that you would not be able to register/login
is that your computer has the "cookie" feature
swtiched off or your security setting is set to HIGH. The
WebFarmer site uses cookies to determine your login. It
sets a cookie on your computer that verifies your session.
Cookies are small text files (usually less than 1K in size)
that websites send to your computer's hard drive to identify
you when you return to a particular website. Think of them
as your ID (identification) badge. Cookies are harmless
and cannot affect the performance of your computer. Without
the cookie file, websites you frequent, will treat you as
a new user each time you return. If you are using INTERNET
EXPLORER, there are instructions
here.
